The Bürgerspital Wine Estate

Bürgerspital in Würzburg is a VDP wine estate in Franconia with more than 700 years of history and tradition. In our 120 hectare vineyards we cultivate classic varieties such as Silvaner, Riesling and wines from Pinot varieties and all the best white wines are bottled in Bocksbeutel. Our most valuable heritage are the unique vineyards, especially the Würzburger Stein and the Stein-Harfe. It is our greatest motivation to produce the absolute best quality from these top sites: Unmistakable wines that show the unique character of each vineyard and bear the signature of Bürgerspital.

Wine tasting for individuals

In our "Weinhaus unterm Glockenspiel" you can purchase wines, taste our wines in the Vinothek or enjoy a glass in our wine garden or in the legendary winebar called "Hockerle" which  is unique in Würzburg.

WINE TASTING FOR GROUPS

Experience a personal wine tasting in a group at our winery. Look behind the scenes at the 1540 Steinwein (the oldest white wine in the world) and enjoy our wines.

The Bürgerspital Weinstuben is one of the most charming and popular restaurants in Würzburg. Enjoy a delicious meal together with Bürgerspital wines in the famous restaurant or in our romantic courtyard in summer.
